The record-breaking winter storm that swept through Chicagoland on Sunday causing headaches at the airports while paralyzing traffic on many of the major expressways for Monday morning’s commute.
Slick conditions on bridges and overpasses causing this 10-car pileup on the OB side of the Eisenhower at the Jane Byrne Interchange, closing all lanes for nearly three hours during the morning rush.
At the airports more than a thousand weekend flights CANCELLED stranding travelers.
Blue Line Service was also halted into and out of O’Hare during the morning rush after an SUV slid off the road and into the CTA tracks near Rosemont.
