In 2015, I dyed my hair purple in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training endurance program. It was my eighth year with the TEAM, but the first year coaching members in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

The marathon came and went, but the purple hair stayed. It became a staple, a brand. I loved those locks, but all good things must come to an end.

In 2017, I started making moves from radio to television and changed the look. One day Chicago TV may be ready for luscious violet locks, but for now, I’m back natural.
