Chicago Polar Plunge

Date: Sunday, March 5th, 2017
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Location: North Avenue Beach

Benefitting the Chicago Special Olympics, the 17th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge will take place at Chicago’s North Avenue Beach on Sunday, March 5, 2017.

With more than 60 school buses coming from around the city, groups of 20 or more fundraising plungers have the luxury of curbside service for pledging a certain amount of money to the Special Olympics.

John Howell has done it and so has Ray Stevens. Last year, I (Jen DeSalvo) plunged. It’s quick, semi-painful, and worth it.

Susan Nicholl, Director of the Special Olympics Chicago joined the John & Ray Morning Show on Friday to talk about the event. You can listen to that here.

Here is how to get involved: http://sochicago.org/chicago-polar-plunge/
